Please give us a short summary of your website?
We sell mainly pc games and software but starting to branch out to console games. We have such an extensive selection and such great prices. The quality of the products is second to none.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Being business minded and motivated to develop in the online industry. The dot.com era is upon us and a huge potential market and a highly efficient business model.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
Back in 2006, just a fun website about pc gaming, we have moved on since then and are moving into high efficiency supply of pc software products to the world
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Well a universe full of games..and from that we got "Game Universe" kinda fitting really don't you think? I wanted "Game Machine" but my wife always gets the final say!
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
Its so sexy and original. Oh I want a website like Game Universe daddy. All of our games are in stock and originals and bloody cheap so go get some!
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To develop beyond my current vision, I would like to take it to the stars and meet Richard Branson half-way. Of course is nice to be rich some day
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Tough question, it takes a lot of time for the return but i would do it all again as I am Robin Hood of the pc gaming community
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
Bigger, bigger, massive, massive, HUGE man, that would be awesome. Some day I can see it! Probably drive around in stretched limo as well and why not?
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes..famous last words. But for real, I am PC Games mad just like my customers so its my life really. Wish I had more time to play!
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Tax, tax and more tax, ACC levies, customs duties, insurance, security, missing pc games, you name it we have probably paid for it
What has been your biggest challenge?
Overcoming my own mental barrier, and finding money in the early stages. Finding PC Games of such a massive selection that we have created
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Use every opportunity within your budget
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Tough question, I would say its much more glamorous than most people make out. A lot of fun really and really great contacts. PC games and video games heaven on a pc screen. Its great to be delivering great product to the world!
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
18 months, and if that ever happened would pull the plug, but as long as the fans keep their interest alive in the site we will keep on rocking
