What inspired you to launch your own website?
To promote my music.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
June 2007. It wasn't easy to find a good music related web host, but I finally did. I'm happy with hostbaby.com
How did you decide on a name for your website?
well...it's my name and the name of the project I have.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
My music is really something original, honest. I use a whole palette of unconventional instruments from all over the world. What I do is western music strongly influenced by the many different cultures, specially eastern music.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Promotion. Of course I want to sell my music too, to get signed by a Recording Label.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Well, I work in something else to pay the bills. That keeps me away from jeopardizing what I do. I'm still trying, it's just me so it costs more time and money, without any rewards. But I do this because it makes me happy. I have 25 years of experience as a pro musician, that's why I don't go there anymore. If I go it'll be on my own terms.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I'd put videos, computer animation, more graphics in general. I would travel to record with many artists on site. Scotland, Turkey, Egypt, for ex.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Sure, I'll quit my day job in a second.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
None.
What has been your biggest challenge?
To stop working in someone else's music and to start make my own music prettier. To start my own music project carrying all the responsabilities.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
None so far.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Well, I expected more interaction with people. This shoud be something to get people together, not to work isolated.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
more than 6 months. I enjoy it though. If I don't I would cancel it right away.

Yes, to get signed by a Recording Label.
