What inspired you to launch your own website?
I wanted to share my music with the world!
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
About 2 years ago I launched my myspace music page. It started slow ar first but recently has been receicing many views.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Because I wanted to express that I am trying to get my ideas out to the world.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
Most songs these days are about love or money, but my music is about war and the impact it has on the world.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To get as many people as I can to listen to my music. To help inspire people to seek other solutions to their problems other than violence.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
So far my success has been in live performances and I wish to transfer this to online success so that I may reach more people in different parts of the world.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes, as the purchasing side of my site is run by a large company who would be able to cope with high demands.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Perhaps postage of the product has cost more than I originally thought but this can be made up with greater sales.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Getting the right audience to visit my site.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Google has been a great help. I also hand out business cards with my wesbite address on.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I didn't really have many expectations at the beginning, but it has surpassed them.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
The site has been going for a year or so and I intend to run the site indefinetly.
