Please give us a short summary of your website?
I am an upcoming artist from Kenya, but currently living in Dallas, Texas, and my website is basically, for exposure of my music, to the public at large, but my target audience is mainly the Kenyans back home and abroad. I can say i may not be fitted in any particular kind of genre, but my influences are obviously clear......AFRICAN.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
the urge to get recognition as an artist, as well as a performer.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
This, actually, is my very first publicization, ever.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
It was very simple. My middle name, which is also my stage name.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
It is a kenyan name, rare to hear, other than if you are of Kenyan origin.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To get a much more broader audience....
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
I am not quite there yet.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
The format used to promote or have music played on the radio. Nowadays, it is not about talent anymore, it is about who you know, and how far you are willing to go to have your music played.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Oh yes, most certainly...part of my successs is counting on it.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
The costs involved to record quality songs......
What has been your biggest challenge?
To stay in the game without bitterness or frustration.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Word of mouth...pass it on.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
So far, so good....everything has gone as planned.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
For about 3 years now....and i shall keep it running as long as i keep on singing, and that, may be for a very long time.
