Directory of bands, karaoke presenters, djs and entertainment venues all with profiles containing photos, mp3 tracks, diary. Free legal downloads on the site and bands that sell mp3 tracks on entertainment-heaven.com receive 100% of the royalties for their music. More categories being added soon including comedians, children's entertainers, actors, dancers and loads more. Entertainment-heaven.com also serves as a booking agent.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I have worked in the entertainment business for twenty years as a dj, karaoke presenter, professional bass guitarist and more recently as a promoter and manager.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
March 2007, though a new website is currently being developed which will have many more features including video streaming.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
The website reflects our company Entertainment Heaven Ltd which also has other branches including EH Records (Indie label) and EH Management & Promotion.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
Our customer services is second to none and when the new site is launched at the end of 2007 there will not be another entertainment site providing the range of services which we do.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To provide a resource for entertainers and people looking to book entertainment.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
It doesn't at this point in time.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
Our new site being launched at the end of 2007 has an enormous budget being spent on it and we have an extensive online and offline marketing plan in place for 2008 including commercial radio advertising etc.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes we have staff employed specifically to oversea the website.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
We haven't really, we always viewed the site from the beginning as a site that will take a large period of time to become established.
What has been your biggest challenge?
SEO
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Adwords and our SEO consultant who is brilliant!
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
It hasn't
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
It has been live for seven months and will be around for many years to come.
