Please give us a short summary of your website?
My site is about like an anime directory. It contains sites which easily lets you look for anime related things, like anime, manga, watch anime online, you name it! You can also add your anime related site.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Well, i like anime alot. I saw a lot of cool anime sites out there, so some sites that allow you to make sites. When i thought about making a site.... I didn't let go of my dream.... and when I got a lot of money I will make a site that I really own not a subdomain anymore!
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
I launched my first site (this is my 2nd) on May 2007 . I use freewebs so I can make it. It was about anime, where you can find pictures, lyrics, wallpapers and a lot more. When I want to know what people think, I ask it own yahoo answers but i got answers saying that it wasn't good so I stop. Then I made another one and it was a sucess not actually like yahoo but when i i ask on yahoo answers 3 or 4 times about it, everybody love it and now i got 167 and counting that visited my site!
How did you decide on a name for your website?
My site has bit of anime and you searching for anime so I decided to name it ANIME SEARCH!
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
Well my site was made by Me and I made with total passion and I ask people what they think and suggestions, so they will like/love it. If they hate something I'll remove it! Anime Search gives you something that lets you have it all. This site will not let you down!
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
My goal is to make my own domain! I will combine my two sites and make a great site! I will save money so I can I add to sites that gurantee that my site will added! I will do anything that is good to make my site bigger and better
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
I made my site in freewebs so I don't need to pay. My site is still not very sucessful but it's getting stronger! I edit my site when I don't heve classes, that all
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
have my own domain and combine my 2 sites! and add to google, yahoo, etc. but not for free!
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
maybe, maybe not, I'm still at school
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
No money, just get eye strain and headaches because of sleeping pretty late
What has been your biggest challenge?
Getting my site to be known all over the NET
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
I still don't know cause I just google, add my url free, and i add my site, but i don't know the results cause my site is has only a hundrte visitors
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Yes i thought it will be easy but it was hard because only a little people are visiting my site so i need to promote it!
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
2 months, as long as i can keep it running
