Watching the last episode of American Idol, it became ever clearer that the competition isn't just about the competitors any more. There are so many freaking commercials that is annoying to watch the show. That is unless you are cleaning your house, which you would have time to do during all of the commercial breaks! I have watched every single episode from the beginning with the auditions to the current show. I missed only 15 minutes of one show under duress.Simon is absolutely the most ignorant but accurate judge on the show. He tells is just the way it is and I feel he is trying not to waste anyone's time and talent (or lack thereof) by telling them they are good if they aren't. I know Paula tries to be nice, and she is the one I would probably be the most like if I was a judge on the show. Randy Jackson fits right there in the middle somehow, being not too mean and not too nice unless it is a really great performance.
I was sad to see LaKisha go last week, but we are getting down to the nitty gritty, and although she is a dynamite singer, she doesn't have quite the elasticity that Jordin and Melinda have. Blues is her thing and boy do I love to hear her sing the blues! I think Blake has got the younger audience vote because he is versatile with the beat box thing going on. If he wins over these two girls, I will be the ugliest American Idol fan ever!
