A device that Reed Hastings had thought would upend the entertainment industry was finally ready to be unveiled after it had taken the better part of an entire decade.

As unassuming as the original iPod is how that gadget looked. It is a sleek box, black that is pigment, just about the same size as a paper back novel.

Surely, Hastings believes that the impact of this new device would also be as massive as that of the original iPod on customers from all around the face of the earth.
