Please give us a short summary of your website?
I am a professional magician based in Florida. My website gives event hosts a way to learn how I can enhance the experience of their guests with unique, magical entertainment. It features live video from past performances, reviews from my clients, and tips on maximizing your investment in entertainment.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I wanted prospective clients to be able to learn about me and evaluate my work from the comfort of their home or office.
What services do you offer?
I offer two basic services (though I pride myself on being able to tailor my performance to the unique needs of my clients, and am happy to give customized proposals):
Up Close Magic: At hospitality suites and cocktail hours I "work the room," visiting with guests and giving small groups their own, up-close and personal magic show.
The Wow! Show: I have a high impact, interactive show that is designed to give the event a strong, memorable climax. The Wow! Show features stunning magic, clean situation comedy, and tons of audience participation.
Highly versatile, the Wow! Show has been successfully presented in hotel banquet halls, at country clubs, on board yachts, in living rooms, and in theaters. I adapt the show to fit the venue, the audience, and the running time needed.
What happens during the Wow! Show?
It depends on the running time, audience, and venue. But in a typical show you would see me:
-put a borrowed dollar bill INSIDE of a whole lemon -manipulate raw eggs without breaking them (usually!) -escape from solid steel chains -predict which phone number a guest will randomly pick out of the phonebook -cheat at cards by reading a guest's mind
Most importantly, I will get your guests relaxed and having a great time!
What do you enjoy about Up Close Magic?
Most people only get to see quality, professional magic on stage or television. With Up Close Magic, they get to enjoy the magic from, well, up close. Stunning things are happening right in front of their eyes and in their own hands. It truly is a unique experience: a fun, quick vacation from reality.
Why magic?
For me: I love people and I love the challenge of coming up with something that is impossible. Magic gives me the chance to have a great time with all kinds of different people, share with them the things that I have been working to master for much of my life, and make a living doing what I truly love.
My clients and their guests all have their own reasons, but here are a few that are pretty common: -It isn't often that you get to experience something impossible, live and right in front of you -It is fun to see how other guest's react: some laugh, some jaws fall open, some scream. -It breaks the ice and makes it effortless for guests to start a conversation, and gives them something to immediately connect about -Close-up magic is hassle-free, self-contained entertainment with zero footprint and zero technical requirements. -The show is designed to build in energy into a big finale. Thus, it is an effortless and dependable way to make sure your event ends (or begins) with a BANG!
My son/daughter/grandchild wants to be a magician. Advice?
Great! Nothing can develop a child's manual dexterity, confidence, and communication skills quite like learning magic.
Your best bet is to hit the library. Some of magic's greatest secrets are there, free. The student will read some great stories from magic's colorful history, and learn some really cool basic tricks. Have your student practice diligently and share with them the importance of keeping the secret (spoils the fun otherwise).

What kind of training do you have?
I have inhaled books on magic from a very young age and have used the principles I have learned from them, combined with thousands of hours of experience in front of audiences, to craft my show. I am also lucky enough to have the friendship of some of the top professional magicians in the United States and Canada and I have learned everything that I can from them. More formally, I have worked with Broadway stars Robert Fitch and Ed Bordo -- as well as, more briefly, with Madeleine Sherwood of The Actor's Studio -- to improve my voice, presence, stagecraft etc. and to supercharge important parts of the show. Mr. Fitch has been hired to do similar work for magicians including David Copperfield and David Blaine.
