BBS Radio broadcasts over 100 live, unique talk shows and the hottest new music from interdependent artists around the globe. BBS Radio has 4 stations, each independently streamed & monitored with separate computer systems, also, exclusive and secure servers capable of handling mega bandwidth & content. 95% of all shows are live and interactive. Shows are archived within 24 hours. Worldwide toll free call-in numbers – all fully interactive. We stream our broadcasts in all media types including “one click” flash streams, Real Player, Quicktime, WinAmp, itunes, Windows Media, VideoLan, direct ports, and each stream is in 32k, 56k and 96k formats. BBS Radio also has the distinction of interviewing more world-renowned guests in a week than most radio networks in a month.

What inspired you to launch your own website?
BBS Radio was created to promote a smorgasbord variety of shows to lift up the human spirit to a higher vibration. Everyone with a passion should be allowed to spread their message from the heart, without being controlled by mainstream media and corporate greed.
BBS Radio is a “service to others” calling, dedicated to sharing information and inspiration, in the pursuit of understanding, awareness, and peace. Our belief is, "beautiful intentions inspire beautiful creations, and we all are perfect parts of the Whole"!

The Vision: Build a media portal encompassing T.V., Radio, Internet and Print, that is not mainstream media, but a unifying, interactive source of enlightenment, an empowering force, "a spiritual media force" developed by people with a passion for Life, the Earth, its inhabitants, knowledge, peace, wisdom, awareness and love! A portal providing a broad range of productions and information to promote natural alternative health, joy, free energy, self-awareness, and the existence of E.T. All in an effort to increase the vibration of the people and the planet, as it enters into this wonderful New Age of Aquarius.
We've built an area where people can post their thoughts, ideas and articles relating to current global events, changes in the human condition, changes to our planet, our divine relationship to the Creator, "The Law of One", free energy, our star visitors, spirituality, life after death, extra-terrestrial connections, and much more. It is important to us that people become aware of what is happening to the Earth and the people that inhabit it. Our Earth is going through a transition that could lead to severe changes. We may be able to prevent some of these by understanding who we are and why we are here. It could be a time for a great many changes in perception, perhaps even in the awareness of our connection!
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
Launched BBS Radio in 2005. It was formerly knows as Blogin Broadcasting Service.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
BBS Radio is short for Blogin Broadcasting Service.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
We hope to secure a mainstream media deal. We hope to expand our radio offerings, and be a leader in the dissemination of new music and empowering information.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Money is secondary to the desire of changing lives for the better. Most of our radio shows offer information that pertains to health and wellness. We are motivated by sharing green technology, alternative health methods, spiritual information, etc., almost anything that can impact a human life in a positive direction, create a healthier more sustainable planet and bring awareness to the globe.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
We would hire a creative web development team, a PR firm and an expert in radio/franchise opportunities (business development), as well travel to establish physical locations in every major city in the Country. We've already successfully helped establish LATALKRADIO.com, which took 30 days. It was profitable within 60 days.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes, we have the capability to expand easily on the Internet, but expanding our physical locations, Internet Radio offices in cities around the country, requires time and a willingness to travel, and a small amount of start of capital. Offices where hosts work, vs, establishing connections from one central location to a host location via the telephone, is dynamically more interesting, and often preferred by the hosts themselves. BBSRadio.com calls hosts via all forms of phone/internet lines (analog, digital, skype, etc) and produces the show live from a distance. LATALKRadio.com has the hosts come into an office location, where their broadcasts are streamed live. Both systems work well!
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
One of our biggest challenges was, automatic show archiving and getting hosts to participate in the promotion of, and writing of, their show archive descriptions. Other challenges include stopping spam on our servers and virus related issues (which is a problem for everyone). Security and functionality are often more time consuming than other more rewarding areas of development, but highly necessary.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Our biggest challenge is technology. Internet Radio is relatively new, and the scope immense. Technological advancements are taking place at an ever increasing pace, and keeping up with these advancements and the changes in consumer preference can be daunting.
Another challange is creating a Radio platform that keeps our hosts integrated into the network; a platform that offers them the ability to gain access to information, potential guests, potential show topics, and provides a myspace, facebook environment geared toward Radio shows and show hosts.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Word of mouth! We have hundreds of show hosts and guests every week, many with their own websites. This leads to an advantage in promotion.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
A website requires constant attention, more than we could have initially envisioned.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
BBSRadio.com is about 4 years old, and we hope it becomes a house-hold word, even if that takes 20 years.
