Hunt Mysteries website, www.huntmysteries.com, offers a virtually a complete history of the business formed in 1991 by W. Lee Hunt. The site has thousands of pictures and numerous videos from previous performances. It has it's own ticketing site for all of Hunt Mysteries' public shows, including Halloween shows in October of 2009 in South Jordan, Layton, Ogden and Logan. The website also includes a rundown on how we do our performances, why Hunt Mysteries is the premiere murder mystery troupe in the Intermountain Area, and a rundown on where we've done shows and whos who of our past cients.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Hunt Mysteries started our first Website to keep in contact with our thousands of fans and to reach other potential clients looking for our type of entertainment.
When and where did you perform your first show open to the public?
In April of 1991, we performed our first shows with actors playing the characters at Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort. We did shows there continuously for three years and then moved to the Riverboat in Murray and added shows at The Camelot in Layton. Other favorite show runs were at Inn on the Creek and The Homestead in Midway, The Shalamar and Embassy Suites in Salt Lake, Doug's Spaghetti House and Boccias D'Italia in Ogden, and Thanksgiving Point in Lehi.
Where have you traveled outside of Salt Lake area for performances?
We've performed in Logan, Brigham City, Ogden, Layton, Orem, Lehi, American Fork, Nephi, Richfield, Delta, Cedar City, St. George in Utah; Wendover, Mesquite and Las Vegas in Nevada; Steamboat Springs and Denver, Colo.; Evanston, Green River and Pindale, Wyo.; and in North Dakota.
What makes your performances different from others?
Hunt Mysteries offers top-quality performances who a very good singers and dancers and or people-friendly. Then Hunt Mysteries offers a professional sound system, including body microphones for all the actors, so that all the guests can hear the mystery and all the clues and enjoy the singing and the comedy. Hunt Mysteries offers a full package of entertainment -- not just parts of a package!
What is your eventual goal?
To create our own theatre while still providing our services to those who require our services throughout the West.
