Please give us a short summary of your website?
A Club Penguin Fansite of the popular interactive game Club Penguin. It contains Club Penguin News, Tips, gaming secrets, cheats and glitches that will help you get ahead of the game. It also contains a Club Penguin help tutorial, swf files, Rockhopper finder, and will soon be starting a contest for free membership to Club Penguin.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
The love of the game is what inspired me. I wanted to help new members as well as long time members with secrets and events that will make gaming easier and more enjoyable to have.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
The website was first launched at the ending of December to host a non-member contest for free membership to Club Penguin. It was then closed and re-opened again in May of 2008.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Club Penguin is all about having fun and making new friends. Put two and two together and I came up with "Penguin Fun".
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
It will contain more graphics, a complete and thorough listing of tips, news, secrets that will prove useful for all Club Penguin users. All postings are always kept updated.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
My goal is make the top Club Penguin cheat finder/source for all Club Penguin player's needs.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
A lot of time has been and is still being put into this site.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
If I had an unlimited development budget, I would definitely expand my site and include more pages that will host mini-games, better graphics, and interactive pages.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
That is a difficult question to answer as I am currently working on other things.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Time is the most difficult headache I have had to deal with. I have so much ideas in mind for my site but finding the time is the most difficult.
What has been your biggest challenge?
The biggest challenge is finding the time to create all my pages for my site.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
I have used blog directories and search engines.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
The time it takes to keep my site updated.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
So far this site has been running, not counting in-activity, about 2 1/2 months.
